FAQ

Frequently asked questions

About FETO, our chemistry and working with NuclearMediX.

What is NuclearMediX?

NuclearMediX develops radiopharmaceuticals for cancer diagnosis and treatment. Our lead PET tracer, FETO, has completed Phase 2 in neuroendocrine tumours.

How do you develop new programmes?

We connect a tumour-targeting molecule to a radioactive label using click chemistry. For each programme, we develop the labelling chemistry alongside a method for producing the compound.

Why focus on fluorine-18?

Fluorine-18 (18F) is the most widely produced medical radionuclide. Compared with generator-based gallium-68 (68Ga), its longer half-life gives broader distribution reach and efficient dose production, supporting scalable access to high-quality PET imaging. Our lead tracer, FETO, uses 18F.

What is NMX-001A (FETO)?

NMX-001A is the programme code for FETO, a fluorine-18 (18F) PET tracer targeting somatostatin receptor 2 (SSTR2). FETO has completed Phase 2 in neuroendocrine tumours.

Do you develop therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals?

Yes. We are exploring therapeutic programmes alongside our diagnostic tracers. Each has its own development stage, shown in our pipeline.

How is FETO produced?

FETO production uses our single-use Cassette v1.0 on automated synthesis modules, including FASTlab. The workflow uses HPLC-free, fully solid-phase extraction (SPE) purification in GMP-aligned workflows. We welcome discussions with hospital and contract radiopharmacies about production development and technology transfer.

Are you a services company?

No. We are a product-led biotech developing our own radiopharmaceutical programmes. We work with partners on research, production and licensing.

How can we partner with NuclearMediX?

We welcome discussions about clinical studies, joint development, manufacturing and regional licensing, as well as investment enquiries. Contact our team with a brief outline of your organisation and interests.
